All over change of colour can look fabulous and change not only the way you look but the way you feel -though this is probably the highest maintenance with regrowth needing to be addressed every 4-6 weeks depending on your personal hair growth speed.

To add tone only you could opt for a semi-permanent (this is not mixed with peroxide and therefore will eventually shampoo out ) or a quasi-permanent colour which is mixed with peroxide but left to develop for half the time a permanent colour would be -this will fade but not completely wash out of your hair in 15-22 shampoos.
the vibrancy of the end colour on both of these latter colours will depend on the starting base colour of your natural hair.
